Vexingly enough, Kurt is at it again: He and Steven Seibold, producer of the “Don’t Be Afraid” album, have created a surprisingly eccentric version of Gordon Lightfoot’s classic “The Wreck Of The Edmund Fitzgerald”, and called it “The Witch Of November”.
Please check out the release notes and lyrics here:
which include all the radio chatter text as well as the heavily-altered verses.
Published under the name “Larson Seibold Project”, this song is now available from the following online sources, and possibly some others about which I know not:
iTunes | eMusic | Amazon | CDBaby
Finally, To amuse and annoy all InSoc fans, Kurt and Steven are offering fabulous prizes (*) to the best submission of a video to accompany Witch Of November. Just grab the track, put some video or photo-collage under it and post it to YouTube! Send a link of your video to ThalyaFlourishing@gmail.com, and Kurt and Steve will judge, in their infinite wisdom, which is the coolest. Best five videos win!
(*) Prizes not actually fabulous.
Prizes may contain nuts.
Prizes actually are:
Hate Dept.’s Technical Difficulties album (CD)
Hate Dept.’s Ditch album (CD)
Hate Dept.’s Technical Difficulties album (Color Promo Flats)
A downloadable copy of Kurt’s unreleased song “On My Way”
A signed printed picture of Kurt doing something stupid
