PAUL ROBB ANSWERS QUESTIONS FROM TWITTER

@JoshGrillsItAll: How many variations of “A Knife and A Fork” are there- including those from ThinkTank?
Paul Robb: There are at least two major variations, the one that exists on “Hack” and the one embodied on “Mandroid”. There are of course numerous remixes of each, including one by the Propellorheads that was released only in the UK.

@virtadpt: If you wanted to start making synthpop music, in what aspect of music would you recommend starting?
Paul Robb: Songwriting. Always songwriting. 700 years ago, my career actually started when I sold my band’s live mixer and bought a multi-track cassette deck, thus focusing my energies on writing rather than performing. A good song can exist nicely in any number of genres, a bad song doesn’t really work in any genre.

@DarylNorthrop: Love your work! Synthesizer is a great album. Any touring soon?
Paul Robb: Sadly, not at the moment. All three members are embroiled in other projects and daily life, and it’s difficult to find the time.

@manfariel: I’d ask if it is true that inSoc comes (to Brazil) from July 15-30? It is me, Paul, Viviane (Brazil, SĂ?ÂŁo Paulo)
Paul Robb: It is not true, unfortunately. Kurt has just started at a new company and can not really get away until the new game is out in the fall.

@chrisakavern: How come “Fire Tonight” is not in the live set?
Paul Robb: It’s a little bit of a downer for the live set, isn’t it? Wouldn’t you people rather see us jumping around shrieking like monkeys?

Shrieking monkeys are great, but a nice mellow set would be nice as well… “Repetition”, “Fire Tonight”, “To Be Free”, “If it’s Real”, “Free”

  8. sMurph Says:

Amen to that! I Consider “To be free” and “Fire tonight” as some of the BEST of the best INSOC. But love it all so “It’s all good!” Listen to the DVD just about everyday by the way, sooooo good. Although… Kurt doing “synthesizer” would be the you know what!

  9. sMurph Says:

Can anyone tell me about this “World Enough?” I need INFORMATION! I have never heard of the song, and really would like “To Know”.

Really tho, what is “world enough?” Is it a different name of a song in Brazil than in the States? Or a concert exclusive, like Jones Town?

I was real disapointed in the live DVD Philadelphia Trocadero Theater live. You would think Kurt would get the lyrics to his own songs. He screwed up the first verse in Think.
He didnt sing the entire first verse in I like the way you werk it and he sings the middle part in spanish. He managed to get the words right in their no name songs like Shiva and Jonestown. Its like he does not care more or less. At least with Christopher Anton, they had a chance at a come back. That dvd was a waste of time and money. They got good songs like Repetition, Lay all your love on me, and Going Going Gone and this idiot is singing Wrongful Death.

Your fans aren’t exactly spring chickens anymore. Aging fans like me (in their 30′s) need a break during a slow song.

P.S. Please have a fan meet&greet at the local country kitchen buffet – Thx
