I was wandering how would the american audience feel if a Brazilian artist gave such answer to Oprah, Jimmy Kimmel or Jay Leno? Would they immediately say: Get the hell outta my country…?
So I respond on the behalf of the Brazilian people: Get your smart ass-superior being attitude back to the US and give the same answer to Oprah or Letterman if you’re so smart!
I am a huge fan up here in Canada but Kurt was acting like a jerk and very disrespectful to the Brazilian people. Brazil fans have always treated Insoc like 1st class and are very loyal fans and deserve to be treated as so. I am very upset right now and I’m sorry he had to B-rate the Brazil fans like that. Hi, I’m brazilian, 34y/o, from Rio, and grew up with a lot of friends that allways loved Informtaion Society. That time (end of the 80′s), besides InSoc, in Rio’s suburbs (what means low middle-class in BR), people liked Stevie B, Tony Garcia and a lot of US funks. Well… I allways had a big respect on InSoc because of it’s clear intentions on making an iteligent eletronic pop-music (in Rio people used to call it “dance” or “house” that time), what can be proved by your own (“Sociedade da Informação”) and song names (“Tink”, “what’s in your mind” etc.). But I really think brazilian people didn’t get this. People here love(d) your music becuase of its great sound quality and happy spirit. Few people here really comprehend your purpose on stimulating youth to think and free their minds. That’s why many brazilians got surprised by Kurts acts. But man… that was really fucking cool! Congratulations for puting Faustao on its place. Globo TV is one of the biggest gilt for Brazilians allienation, social degradation and cultural genocide. Hey, you have a new fan here! Orlando Camargo, eu li seu comentario e andei pesquisando em alguns sites tentando entender o q aconteceu nessas apresentacao do faustao… jÃ?¡ que no Vivo Rio eu curti muito o show e tem gente falando que os caras chegaram nos estudios do programa por volta de umas 11:00 da manha e sÃ?³ foram tocar no final Ã?¡ noite. Deram um chÃ?¡ de cadeira nos caras e mais uma vez o programa conseguiu estragar uma apresentacao internacional,ou seja, colocoram uns bailarinos nada a ver com a banda, fora aquele problemas com os tradutores, e as perguntas do Faustao que poderiam ter sido mais elaboradas. Parece que a equipe do programa nem pesquisou direito sobre os caras. Tantas perguntas que o Fausto poderia fazer… Resumindo: Eu acho que se juntarmos isso tudo dÃ?¡ pra entender pelos menos um pouco o pq do Kurt estava meio “desanimado”. Mas nÃ?³s que somos fans, devemos pelo menos esperar eles voltem pra casa e leiam esses comentarios nossos com calma pq se aconteceu algo q agente nao sabe, eles com certeza vao nos esclarecer em breve. Amei a performance do InSoc no FaustÃ?£o, embora as ‘perguntas’ sem noÃ?§Ã?£o do FaustÃ?£o tenham chegado a me envergonhar. Definitivamente ele nÃ?£o Ã?© um bom entrevistador, ele vai de um assunto a outro e no fim o cara acaba nÃ?£o entendendo nada! Ele Ã?© o ser mais confuso da televisÃ?£o brasileira. E as danÃ?§arinas estavam pÃ?©ssimas, totalmente em desacordo com o grupo. Acredito que a banda tenha sido prejudicada pela prÃ?³pria equipe do programa (vide post 14), e nÃ?£o Ã?© a primeira vez que isso acontece, pois a maioria das apresentaÃ?§Ã?µes de grupos internacionais que participam do programa sÃ?£o decepcionantes! Mas valeu pelo InSoc, os caras sÃ?£o muito bons, e realmente muito melhores do que muita coisa que somos obrigados a ouvir hoje em dia!

Quem foi aos shows viu e ouviu como o Kurt cantou bem e perfeitamente,e com toda a energia, e ele “nunca” maltratou nenhum fÃ?£, ele Ã?© uma pessoa extremamente doce! Se todos os nossos Ã?Âdolos fossem como o Kurt, o James e o Paul, os fÃ?£s de todas as bandas seriam felizes, porque eu juro que eu nunca vi tÃ?£o bons rapazes como eles trÃ?ªs, como Ã?Âdolos e como pessoas. E sim, os comentÃ?¡rios dele nÃ?£o foram tÃ?£o maus assim, ele nÃ?£o ofendeu pessoalmente o FaustÃ?£o, ele sÃ?³ disse a verdade, que o combinado tinha sido nÃ?£o falar nada. What happened was that Kurt told a joke about being a robot, but he was misunderstood unhappily and he apologizes if he offended anyone. O que aconteceu foi que o Kurt contou uma piada sobre ser um robot, e foi mal interpretado e ele se desculpa se no fim ele acabou ofendendo algu�©m.

Hi, I’m brazilian, 34y/o, from Rio, and grew up with a lot of friends that allways loved Informtaion Society. That time (end of the 80′s), besides InSoc, in Rio’s suburbs (what means low middle-class in BR), people liked Stevie B, Tony Garcia and a lot of US funks. Well… I allways had a big respect on InSoc because of it’s clear intentions on making an iteligent eletronic pop-music (in Rio people used to call it “dance” or “house” that time), what can be proved by your own (“Sociedade da Informação”) and song names (“Tink”, “what’s in your mind” etc.). But I really think brazilian people didn’t get this. People here love(d) your music becuase of its great sound quality and happy spirit. Few people here really comprehend your purpose on stimulating youth to think and free their minds. That’s why many brazilians got surprised by Kurts acts. But man… that was really fucking cool! Congratulations for puting Faustao on its place. Globo TV is one of the biggest gilt for Brazilians allienation, social degradation and cultural genocide. Hey, you have a new fan here! I love you guys!!!
