TOGETHER AGAIN FOR THE FIRST TIME

For the first time in nearly 15 years, the three original members of Information Society â?? Paul Robb, James Cassidy, and Kurt Larson â?? will be performing a live, full set together. The first shows of 2008 are scheduled for Philadelphia, PA and Seattle, WA.
These live shows will be few and far between, so we recommend if you live anywhere in the vicinity of these cities, and have ever wanted to see INSOC’s legendary live show, now is the time.
The group will be playing songs from each and every album they have released, including the ultra-rare INSOC EP and “Creatures of Influence”, “Don’t Be Afraid,” and the new release “Synthesizer.” Also on tap will be a few old-school analog headbangers that haven’t been heard since the early 80’s.

That is great news! I hope there will be more dates to come. I will definitely be there if Information Society is in concert anywhere near or in West Virginia.
Thanks!

Utter syncrhony that I found myself reading ‘The Awful Truth’ (weblink above) of the InSoc/VH-1 fiasco only because I stumbled upon the new release on eBay. Witnessing Mr. Larson sticking a monkey wrench into Viacom by merely staying true to his virtues–and even tipping his hat to this ‘new’ InSoc before he’s a part of it is–well, heartwarming. Thanks for sharing (Mr. Larson) & congrats to InSoc on the restoration.

I hyperventilated, I fainted, and then I bought tickets. This is something I thought I’d go to the grave without getting to see, and now I don’t have to!
I love you all!

Ok, this is starting to interest me a little… I guess I’ll go. :p But since I’ll only be able to do one of the shows, is there any chance at all these shows will be documented in one form or another? Will the venues allow Kristin to videotape or officially “bootleg” either or both of these shows? It would be magnificent for these rare shows to be a gift available to *all* of mankind for ages to come. Or maybe I’ll just get a t-shirt.

El Corazon will allow video, or, rather, they have in the past. Not sure about the venue in Philly.

Darn it sounds like it will be good too bad I will not be able to see it I have plans arranged on both dates and I live a bit too far to see it. I would love to hear some of the InSoc EP ,Creatures of Influence , and DBA songs performed live. InSoc really needs to come to Kentucky at least once some of us fans in KY have never seen them perform live.

Ok, let’s make Calgary, Alberta next – or at least something reasonably close. I’ll get on a plane if I have to!!
November 28th, 2007 at 6:32 pm
I think insoc would come to toronto way before calgary
they’ve been here before

The Philadelphia show is being professionally filmed for a later InSoc release. The pro-shot video will be much more pleasant to watch than any bootlegs.

In the future we’ll have teletransport. I hope so. The only way to buy the tickets and attend to the show without spend about $3,000 to fly from Brazil to USA

I got my tickets for the Seattle show as soon as I heard about it. I’ve been waiting for this moment for 20 years! I can’t wait.

Great news! I’ve waited almost 2 decades to see Kurt live. But..Where’s Atlanta on the line-up? If you need a venue, check out the Drunken Unicorn or the Loft.

It’s worked so far, but we’re not out yet.

Dear Paul, Jim, and Kurt:
Please consider doing a cover of the Laura Branigan hit “Self Control” with Kurt doing the vocals.
http://tinyurl.com/ywzm62
I really think this would be a huge hit for you if Kurt is willing.
(And Jim should assist with those background “ohhh, ohhh, ohhh” vocals.)
If Kurt would get excited about it, it would work.
And Paul could do killer work with the instrumentation.
My two cents.
Your #1 fan,
Jerry Jones

P.S. I think it would honor Laura who died before her time about three years ago.
January 4th, 2008 at 11:25 am
Forgot to mention.
It would also honor the original artists who wrote the song.
Raffaele Riefoli wrote it along with Giancarlo Bigazzi and Steve Piccolo.

PUMPED I AM! (Yoda says!)
January 5th, 2008 at 10:29 am
Dammit! I lived in Philly my whole life until ‘04, now I’m in Florida. I’m pissed that I can’t make the Philly show! Somebody kick me real hard!
January 11th, 2008 at 11:01 pm
Some staff dude at the El corazon made us delete our pictures and footage! Didn’t make anyone else do it either… During the last song too…

Welcome back guys. We’ve missed you.
Saw you play at Universal Studios in Orlando at Haloween Horror Nights back around 1994-1995. You guys rock !!!! I was very impressed.
PLEASE schedule a date somewhere (anywhere) in Florida.
Thanks,
Dano
