Images from New Orleans
The photos and our video of (almost) the full show at The Venue in New Orleans on May 26th is available.
Initially, this show was initially interrupted by a security guard walking across the stage (?!). Later interruptions included about eight people and THE COPS running up on stage, a drunk unruly girl attempting to bother, molest, or dance with Kurt, with security (strangely!) nowhere to be found, and Kurt becoming stuck backstage at the beginning of the last song.
Not our best show ever…
The set contained four songs – the first was Peace and Love, Inc – but the video of the first song was unusuable because the lights were bad, the sound was terrible, and Kristin kept getting JOSTLED by the UNRULY HOOLIGANS.
INSOC @ THE VENUE | MAY 26 2007
Video of our performance (minus Peace & Love, Inc) at the dubious Venue Nightclub, New Orleans, LA.
And, of course, the gallery of over fifty still photos is available as well!

I wish I were there in this show! My 3 idols together again! What else could I ask from God? A show in Brazil maybe? Insoc proved that is back better and better… Kurt’s voice is still the same, and of course, Paul and James are magician musicians!

I had a great time even with all the craziness going on. And thank you for thanking me in the credits.

I tried to keep people out of Kristin’s way but you see how futile that was.

Next time, go with a baseball bat.
If someone aproaches and start bumping, you know what to do…

Don’t let the New Orleans crowd get you down. INSOC needs to be the headliner, and this stuff wouldn’t happen. INSOC fans are the best! There are some that don’t have Myspace and may not know that INSOC is back together. Until the new album is released, there probably won’t be sell out crowds. It works that way with any group going on tour. After a new album is released…..sell out crowds. If it is not too late, are there any plans of a summer 2007 tour? I am sure some of us are patiently waiting the news.

yes, Fire… I agree…
If InSoc decide to come to Brazil again this year, I promise I’ll try not to go drunk…
Sometimes I do silly things when drunk…
Nothing compared to this “girl”, or “sort of”…
But I can kick some security asses, and yell like a dog… ONLY WHEN EXTREMELY DRUNK*… But I can behave myself if Paul start to look at me with angry face. He’s too big and I’m too weak. He knows…
*= means “3 bottles of JWRL, mixed with any other alcoholic thing”.
(Due to my personal convictions, this post doesn’t express my real intentions during the possible show… I guess…)

Me and a friend of mine(Kradyn) are still curious about the “drunk” girl’s disappearance…
What a magic trick!
P.S.: Here in Brazil, Lu is a girl’s nickname too, ok?

the drunk girl that tried to molest kurt was very quickly escorted out of the front door of the club once security eventually decided to clue themselves in. as for what happened afterward, who knows?

Wasn’t expecting to see Kurt at the vocal helm; whatta treat! Kurt, does this mean you’re back for good? Hope you guys can swing by Baltimore ala Rams Head Live once “Synthesiszer” is released. All the best!!!

i was the first dj to play at the Venue when it opened for “large electronic music events”
it was a total nightmare. that place is awful, and New Orleans has been consistently disastrous for great acts like yourself who venture down here. sorry that it didn’t go well!

Second round with Kurt again. Does that mean he might show up next time in Brazil perhaps? That would be interesting…
I really liked the new arrangement for Back in the Day, but kind of missed the drum set at the back and the popping blond at the right corner, or any other female musician. I prefer the more concert style thing, but I understand the stages in New Orleans and NY weren’t for that. But again, you guys look much more mature and professional. I like that!

Can you guys also sometimes film the crowd (capture the craziness and the energy of the crowd for us?)
Thanks

Gail,
I will be happy to film the crowd a bit next time, as well

(sigh) I lived in NOLA and it’s a pretty wild place! Cool video despite the interruptions you had!

Kurt sounds like he is singing kareoke no wonder he would not appear on that TV show. Seems to have lost his voice. The newer tunes sound like they belong in a video game. Nice dark video real professional.
